カブリ数物連携宇宙研究機構（kaburi Space Research Organization Physics and Mathematics of cooperation）

東京大学は８日、宇宙物理学などの分野で世界の研究機関を支援している米カブリ財団から研究助成を受けると発表した。同財団が750万ドル（約５億７千万円）の基金を設立し、その運用益で、宇宙の謎の解明に取り組んでいる東大の数物連携宇宙研究機構の研究を助成する。
　これを受け、同研究機構は４月１日付けで名称を「カブリ数物連携宇宙研究機構」に改める。運用益の目標額は公表していない。　
　カブリ財団はこれまでに米国のスタンフォード大学やマサチューセッツ工科大学、中国の北京大学などの研究機関を支援する基金を設立。村山斉・同機構長は「世界的な研究ネットワークに加われて、優秀な人材が集まる」と期待している。
　同財団はノルウェー生まれのフレッド・カブリ氏が米国で自動車部品などを製造する会社を設立し、築いた富をもとに設立された。
　税制上の問題もからんでくるのかとは思いますが、日本にも社会還元型の企業が増えていくことを期待したいですがどうなんでしょうかね。
