大学における共同出願件数ランキング(Number of applications in joint university rankings)

パテント・リザルトは、大学における共同出願件数ランキングを発表した。対象は、日本の特許庁に出願した件数のうち、2011年12月末までに公開されたもの。集計の結果、第1位が東北大学、第2位が東京大学、これに東京工業大学が続いた。
　同調査によると、東北大学の共同出願が多い分野は、半導体、材料、ナノ建造物、医薬などという。共同出願先としては、東京エレクトロンのほか、トーキン、トヨタ自動車などがあげられた。
　東大では、遺伝子工学、材料分析、ナノ構造物、医薬品などの出願数が多く、共同出願先の上位はトヨタ自動車と日産自動車だという。パテント・リザルトによると、東大と自動車メーカーの共同研究が盛んなことが理由だという。
　特許庁に出願したのは、日本の大学だけではない。米カリフォルニア大学や中国の清華大学が日本への積極的な出願を行っており、特に清華大学は、タッチパネルや炭素繊維などの分野において出願件数が伸びている。　
 第4位以降の大学別出願件数ランキングは、大阪大学、京都大学、名古屋大学、九州大学、北海道大学、早稲田大学、広島大学の順となった。
大学や企業を評価する一つの指針になりそうですね。中国等の海外組が、今後出願件数を伸ばしてきそうな気配ですね。
