東京大は１６位（Tokyo University ranked 16）

米国の学術情報サービス会社トムソン・ロイターは１７日、論文の引用回数をもとにした世界の研究機関ランキングを発表した。４８９９機関中、東京大は１６位。昨年の１３位、一昨年の１１位からさらに後退した。 世界での１位は米ハーバード大学だという。同ランキングは、学術論文の引用動向データを提供する統計データベース「Essential Science Indicators」に掲載されている世界の研究機関情報から、日本のデータを抽出・再集計し、論文の総被引用数順に並べたもの。ほかに１００位以内に入ったのは京都大（３４位）、大阪大（４４位）、科学技術振興機構（６１位）、東北大（６９位）。上位となった分野別では、材料科学＝東北大３位▽物理学＝東大３位▽化学＝京大４位▽生物学・生化学＝東大３位▽免疫学＝阪大４位などだった。 １位の東大は被引用数が１１３万６２３８件。２位は京都大学（７９万１８４３件の）となり、以下、大阪（６６万５５６６件）、科学技術振興機構（５５万７６５６件）、東北大学（５１万２５６９件）、理化学研究所（３９万８４５３件）、名古屋大学（３６万９０４６件）、九州大学（３４万２６０５件）、産業技術総合研究所（３２万５１５７件）、北海道（３１万３１１２件）となっている。こんなところにも日本凋落の状況があらわれているのかもしれませんね。
