面倒だから留学しない（Not because it 's so hard to study）

日米中韓の４か国の高校生のうち、海外留学への関心は日本の高校生が一番低いことが財団法人日本青少年研究所の調査で分かった。
　「自分の国が暮らしやすい」などの理由が多く、企業の海外進出、グローバル化が進む中、日本の次世代はやっぱり、チャレンジ精神が乏しい？
　調査では、海外留学について「興味がある」「やや興味がある」と答えた学生は韓国（７０・７％）、中国（６９・５％）、米国（６４・６％）の順で、日本は５７・２％で最も低かった。「全く興味がない」は１５・９％と最多で、韓国や中国の倍以上だった。
　日本の高校生が留学したくない理由（複数回答）は、「言葉の壁があるから」（４８・１％）「外国で１人で生活する自信がないから」（４２・７％）などの順。「面倒だから」は３８・５％で、４か国で一番多かった。今や世界を視野に入れて活躍する場を探していかなければならない時なのに嘆かわしい話ですね。結局、日本が内向きになってしまっているから若者までが内向きになってしまっているんでしょうかね。国内のことも重要ですが、それ以上に国外の事に責任を持つ日本になっていかなければならないでしょうね。お節介な日本を期待したいですね。
