トヨタ自動車が、ガソリン１リットルあたり６０キロ・メートル走れる次世代の小型ハイブリッド車（ＨＶ）の開発を進めていることがわかった。
　排気量１リットルのガソリンエンジンと、現行プリウスより小型化したモーターを組み合わせる。車体は軽量化を進め、空気抵抗も減らす。
 　トヨタは、今年３月にスイスで開かれた「ジュネーブ国際モーターショー」に、開発中の次世代ＨＶの試作車を出展した。発売時期は２０１０年代後半とみられる。高い燃費性能を武器に国内市場で大幅なシェア（占有率）拡大につなげたい考えだ。
 　１リットルあたり６０キロ・メートルの燃費は、実走行時に近い国の新燃費測定基準（ＪＣ０８モード）で算定したもので、トヨタのプリウス（１リットルあたり３２・６キロ・メートル）、アクア（同３５・４キロ・メートル）を上回り、ＨＶで世界最高水準となる。倍近い燃費になるんですね。将来的にもガソリンエンジンとモーターを組み合わせたハイブリッド形式を存続させていくんでしょうかね？
