６歳で英検２級合格（Pass 2nd grade at the age of six）

小学校での英語必修化など低年齢での英語熱が高まるなか、群馬県太田市の６歳の彩萌ちゃんが高校卒業程度のレベルという英検（日本英語検定協会）２級に合格した。今年２月の２級合格者２万４０００人のうち最年少だった。
　父親が、学校で学んだわりには実社会で英語を使えないという苦い経験から、彩萌ちゃんに１歳半から英語教材を与えた。アニメキャラクターの音声や映像を中心にした教材で、すぐ溶け込んだ。家族が英語を話すわけでない限られた英語環境ながら読書好きも重なって、３歳には英語と日本語の両方が同等に口をついて出るようになったという。特に、日本語については教えなくとも親が語りかける中で喋れるようになっていくのと同じなのかもしれませんね。それにしてもすごいですね。
