地球環境高（High environmental）

第８４回選抜高校野球大会（３月２１日から１２日間・甲子園球場）の選考委員会は２７日、大阪市内で開き、地球環境高（佐久市）の甲子園出場が決まった。２００５年の野球部創部以来、地球環境の甲子園出場は春夏通じて初めて。通信制高校の甲子園出場は全国初となる。
　地球環境は、エース漆戸投手を中心とした堅守と好機での集中打で昨年の秋季大会を勝ち進んだ。９～１０月の県大会で準優勝し、１０月に松本市野球場などで行われた北信越大会に進出。準々決勝で金沢西（石川）に１０―０の五回コールドゲームで快勝すると、準決勝は漆戸投手が松商学園を完封し４―０で勝った。敦賀気比（福井）との決勝は投手戦の末、延長十三回、０―１でサヨナラ負けしたが、投攻守の実力を評価され代表校に選出された。
　県勢の選抜大会出場は０８年に長野日大、丸子修学館の２校が出場して以来４年ぶり。組み合わせ抽選会は３月１５日に行われる。久しぶりの選抜出場ですね。それも通信制高校としては初出場という点も話題をよびそうですね。
