　トイプードルやシバ犬などの犬と飼い主４０組の顔写真を用意し、正しいペア２０組と、わざと間違えたペア２０組の２グループに分けた。顔の一部を隠すなどして、どちらのグループが似ているかを学生ら５４７人に尋ねた。
　目だけを見せたところ、７３・３％が正しいグループの方を選び、「よく似ている」と答えた。一方、飼い主の目を隠した場合の正答率は５０・８％、犬の目を隠した場合は４７・３％だった。
　我が家にも愛犬「ハナ」がいますが、目が似ているんでしょうかね。じっくり観察してみましょう。
