男子テニスのスイス室内は５日にスイスのバーゼルでシングルス準決勝が行われ、世界ランキング３２位の錦織圭（ソニー）が同１位のノバク・ジョコビッチ（セルビア）と対戦、２―６、７―６、６―０で逆転勝ちして決勝に進んだ。
　１０月の上海マスターズに続いて４強入りを果たした錦織は、４月の米国クレーコート選手権以来通算３度目のツアー決勝進出を果たした。
