日本愛妻家協会（総本部・群馬県嬬恋村）は「いい夫婦の日」の２２日、普段は照れくさくて「ありがとう」を伝えられない夫に感謝状を贈る「いい夫婦 の日　感謝状大作戦」を展開。各家庭で同日午後８時に合わせ、感謝状を一斉贈呈するよう呼び掛けており、同協会は１００万人の妻の参加を目標にしてい る。
　嬬恋村のキャベツ畑で夫が妻への愛の言葉を叫ぶ「キャベツ畑の中心で妻に愛を叫ぶ（キャベチュー）」を主催してきた同協会が、今年初めて企画した。「夫をほめてねぎらえば、世の中、もっと幸せになるはずだ」と提唱し、感謝を具体的に表す方法として、感謝状の贈呈を勧めている。
　同協会はホームページ（ＨＰ）に感謝状の文面を用意し、ダウンロードできるようにしている。またＨＰでは「普段やり慣れていないことをすると、夫 とペットの名前を呼び間違えるなど思わぬミスをするかもしれない」として、２２日当日の過ごし方についてアドバイスもしている。
