東京大学など９つの大学は、日本・中国・韓国の学生が留学しやすい環境を整備するため、中国や韓国の大学との間で共通のカリキュラムを設け、学生が取得した単位や学位を互いに認め合う制度を始めることになった。
日本、中国、韓国の大学間の交流は、おととし１０月に開かれた３か国の首脳会談で鳩山元総理大臣が提案したことを受けて、具体的な方法について検討が進められてきました。その結果、東京大学や一橋大学など８つの国立大学と立命館大学の合わせて９つの大学が、中国や韓国の大学との間で共通のカリキュラムを設け、学生が取得した単位や学位を互いに認め合う制度を早いところでは年内にも始めることになる。このうち一橋大学は、中国の北京大学と韓国のソウル大学との間でアジアのビジネス界のリーダーの養成を目指すカリキュラムを設け、互いの交流を進める
ことにしています。現在でも、提携する大学どうしで単位を認める例はありますが、新しい制度では、３か国のどの国で取得した単位も自分の大学の単位として
認められるため、文部科学省は、日本・中国・韓国の学生がこれまでより留学しやすくなるとしています。内向きなどといわれる若者ですが、若いうちに世界に出て、外から日本を見つめることも重要でしょうね。日本からの留学生が増えることを期待したいですね。
