ChubuSat-1

Group of university professors and large engineering Mizoguchi, STEL, Nagoya University, Professor Tajima for the development of 09 small satellites, launched in December that next year the first machine in a practical device revealed. Companies also cooperate in the central region. In the effort of collaboration, hopes to appeal to their presence as a center for the aerospace industry.
Small satellites to be developed in an aluminum 50-kilogram cube of 50 cm each side. Means the Central Region No. 1 satellite "ChubuSat-1" to be named. The large satellite "piggyback" on the rocket is pushed in a way that, to be launched.
And infrared cameras mounted to capture the light, atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) and investigate the amount and surface temperature. Debris of satellites and rocket parts were discarded, in orbit of the Earth "space junk" can be monitored. Can also observe the affected areas in the event of a major disaster such as tsunami inundation area. Services for Relay for amateur radio users.
In May this year, Professor Tajima, "the central region to make their own satellites a thriving aerospace industry," and invented. Seek the cooperation of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, was achieved. 24 companies participated, such as subcontracting component manufacturers and assembly companies involved in aerospace prototype has already been completed.
Currently required to launch a satellite 100000000-20000000000 cost 100 yen one group. Professor Tajima has "led to mass production for future satellite With this knowledge, may be priced less than 1%," he said. In Osaka, and has already launched a satellite in Tokyo to explore the deep sea, "No. 1, Edo," I want a fresh make up the satellite from Nagoya has a thriving aerospace sector projects proceed .
