「ドラえもん」のようなロボット（"Doraemon" robot-like）

ロボットに搭載する人工知能に東京大学を受験させるというプロジェクトに、国立情報学研究所（東京都千代田区）が挑戦する。
　人間と対話しながら、求められていることを察知して行動する「ドラえもん」のようなロボットの開発に役立つ研究で、５年後までに大学入試センター試験で高得点をマークし、１０年後には東大合格を目指す計画だ。
　コンピューターである人工知能は、膨大なデータを暗記したり、計算したりするのは得意だが、自然言語と呼ばれる人間が日常的に使う文章や、紙に描 かれた立体図形などを理解するのが苦手だ。今年２月、米国の人気クイズ番組で人間のクイズ王２人に圧勝した米ＩＢＭのスーパーコンピューター「ワトソン」は、自然言語を理解するように開発されてはいるが、あらかじめ覚え込ませた本１００万冊分の知識以外のことには答えられない。
　今回、研究グループは暗記だけでなく、論理的な思考が必要な大学入試に着目。最難関の東大を目標に、人間のように考えて答えを導き出せる人工知能を開発することにした。
　具体的には、「リンゴ３個とミカン２個」が「果物５個」と同じ意味であるというような人間にとっては当たり前の文章や、紙に描かれた立体図形を認識するプログラムを開発し、問題の意図を正しく理解させる。教科書１００冊程度を使って、さまざまな問題の解き方を覚え込ませ、未知の問題でも解答できるようにする。近い将来、家庭に一体「ドラえもん」が完備されて子ども達と遊ぶようになるのかもしれませんね。そしてポケットから様々な物が出てきて、夢が膨らみますね。
