温泉でトラフグ飼育（Puffer bred in the spring）

遠山郷と呼ばれる飯田市南信濃に湧き出る温泉を利用したトラフグの試験飼育が１１日、地元の日帰り温泉施設「かぐらの湯」で始まった。施設を運営する市南信濃振興公社は、源泉が塩分を含むことから、温泉によるフグ養殖に取り組んでいる栃木県那珂川町での先進例に着目。この日は、同町で飼育と出荷を手掛ける企業「環境生物化学研究所」から体長１２～２０センチの幼魚２１０匹が届いた。順調に育てば、来年２月ごろには味わうことができるという。
　かぐらの湯の敷地に建てた飼育施設で、温泉水を満たした直径２メートルの水槽２基で育てる。温泉水はろ過装置で循環させ、冬場に水温を保つ際は温泉熱を利用する。
　運ばれてきたフグは生後半年と１０カ月ほど。住民らはバケツで数匹ずつ飼育施設の水槽へと運んだ。約７時間の長旅もあってか、少し元気のないフグもいたが、徐々に慣れた様子になった。
　温泉でフグが育つんですね。山里で育ったフグの味はどんなでしょうかね。ぜひ食べてみたいですね。
