アクネ菌で皮膚がん撃退(Skin cancer fight off acne bacteria.)

ニキビの原因となるアクネ菌を皮膚がんの一種・悪性黒色腫に投与し、白血球を集めてがん細胞の増殖を抑える動物実験に、三重大大学院医学系研究科の山中講師のグループが成功した。
　実験では、アクネ菌と戦う性質を持つ白血球が、がん細胞とも戦う効果がある点に着目。アクネ菌をがん細胞に投与すれば、白血球がアクネ菌を攻撃するために集まり、その白血球ががん細胞を攻めて、消失させると考えた。
　マウスの腹にがん細胞の悪性黒色腫を入れ、ヒトのアクネ菌を投与。投与の回数や時期に応じて複数のパターンを試したところ、悪性黒色腫を入れた直後と１４日目の２度投与すると、２８日目にはほぼすべてのがん細胞が消滅した。アクネ菌も消えた。こんな活用の仕方もあるんですね。うまく実用化に結びつくといいですね。
