１万人の海外留学を支援（10,000 people supporting study abroad）

内向きの若者が増えていることを受け、東京都は２２日、来年度から２０２０年度までに高校生や大学生、若手職人計１万人の海外留学を支援していくと発表した。
　都教委は「留学を通じて未来のリーダーとなるタフな若者を育てたい」としている。
　計画の柱は都立高生を対象にした「次世代リーダー育成道場」。１年の夏から８か月間、日常の授業とは別に海外経験のあるビジネスマンやスポーツ選手、芸術家による講義を受けたり、英語による発表や論文の作成技術を学んだりする。３月に１か月間の短期留学を経験し、２年の秋から１年間、ホームステイ をしながら現地の高校に通う。
　この他、家具や服飾、料理などの若手職人、大学生の留学費用も補助する。どんどん活用して海外に出て、外から日本や日本文化・伝統を見つめ直して欲しいですね。
