ドラえもんとニッポン未来予想図(Doraemon and Japan FIG future for)

「あんなこといいな、できたらいいな♪」。文化、社会、科学技術にいたるまで、この国の「これから」を考える授業が早稲田大学で行われている。その名も「ドラえもんとニッポン未来予想図」。火曜日の午後１時、おなじみのテーマソングとともにこの授業は始まった。
　この授業は同大オープン教育センター１０周年記念・カレントトピック科目として９月開講。カレントトピック科目とはその年の話題性のある内容を扱った１年限りの授業のこと。ロボット工学や科学技術から「ドラえもん」と「ひみつ道具」の実現可能性を検証していくだけでなく、作品内の街から、都市 の変遷や社会問題についても考えていく。学問の枠をまたぎ多くのテーマを扱う授業のため、毎回講師が変わるオムニバス形式をとっている。
　過去に例をみない数の学生が登録申請したというこの授業。「学生が『夢をもつ』ということが難しい時代になったからこそ、日本の未来を考える授業 にしたいと思い、スタッフ全員で相談して開講を決めた」と語るのは、この授業をコーディネートした同大社会科学部の土方教授。事業は、来年1月まで続くようです。多くの学生が、夢の抱けない時代にあっても、こんな講座を通して夢を持って現実にぶつかっていって欲しいですね。
