　イスラエルのヘブライ大学は、ユダヤ人のアインシュタインから生前、研究資料や私的な手紙など８万点に上る資料の寄贈を受け、１９日から２０００点についてインターネット上で公開を始めた。
これに合わせ、エルサレムにある大学のキャンパスでは、デジタル化された文書の実物が報道陣向けに公開されました。
公開された品々は、アインシュタインが病気だった母親に宛てて「もっと一緒に時間を過ごしたい」とつづったはがきや、ナチスによる迫害から逃れさせようと愛人との間で交わした手紙など偉大な科学者の私的な生活や人となりを示す貴重な資料ばかりです。
また、中には幼い子どもが髪がぼさぼさだったアインシュタインに宛てて「散髪をしたほうが格好よくなりますよ」と書いた手紙もありました。
