遠藤・東京農工大特別栄誉教授殿堂入り（Enter Hall of Fame special honor than Professor Endo Tokyonokodai）

米非営利団体「全米発明家殿堂」は１日、遠藤・東京農工大特別栄誉教授が発明家の殿堂入りすると発表した。

　日本人が殿堂入りするのは初めて。表彰式は５月２日にワシントンで開かれる。

遠藤氏は、コレステロール値を下げる物質「スタチン」を発見。高脂血症治療薬開発に道を開いた功績が評価された。今年、殿堂入りするのは、遠藤氏のほか、米アップルの創業者、故スティーブ・ジョブズ氏ら９人。
　同団体は毎年、社会的、経済的に影響の大きい米国特許の保有者の中から、「発明家の殿堂」入りする科学者や技術者を選考している。日本人はどれぐらいの方々が殿堂入りを果たしているのか分かりませんが名誉なことですね。そして、ジョブズ氏と共に殿堂入りも記念に残りそうですね。

"National Inventors Hall of Fame" a non-profit organization The U.S., has announced that Hall of Fame to honor special Tokyonokodai inventor Professor Endo.

It is the first time the Japanese Hall of Fame. The award ceremony will be held in Washington on May 2.

Mr. Endo, discovered the "statin" cholesterol-lowering substance. Achievement paved the way for treatment of hyperlipidemia drug development has been evaluated. This year, to the Hall of Fame, as well as Mr. Endo, nine U.S. Apple founder, Steve Jobs and his colleagues late.

The organization has been screening the scientists and engineers to enter Hall of Fame "inventor", from the holder of the patent in the United States each year, a large social impact, economically. Japanese is an honor I do not know what that Hall of Fame is how much people. Yeah, and also is likely to remain in the Memorial Hall of Fame, along with Mr. Jobs.
