スウェーデン・アカデミーは６日、今年のノーベル文学賞を発表した。受賞者はスウェーデンの詩人、トーマス・トランストロンメル氏で、小説 「ノルウェイの森」などで知られる日本の作家、村上春樹氏に期待がかかっていたが、惜しくも受賞を逃した。北海道大名誉教授の鈴木章氏と 米パデュー大特別教授の根岸英一氏がそろって化学賞を受賞した昨年に続く快挙とはならなかった。
　世界最大規模のブックメーカー （賭け屋）、英ラドブロークスが同日公表した文学賞受賞者を予想するオッズ（賭け率）では、村上氏は８倍で３位。昨年は発表当日に２位にまで順位を上げていた。一方、トランストロンメル氏は、１・６６倍の１位で、ブックメーカーが見事に予想を的中させた。
　経済学賞と平和賞には該当する方が日本には居られないようですから今年のノーベル賞受賞者はゼロということになりそうですね。来年以降に期待しましょう。
