約７割の私立大学でＡ判定を獲得。国立情報学研究所などが開発する人工知能が、大学入試センター試験の模擬試験を初受験したところ、そんな判定が出た。

　人工知能「東(とう)ロボくん」は、人間が日常的に使う言葉を理解し、複雑な問題を解くことが目標。具体的には２０１６年度までに同センター試験で高得点をあげ、２１年度までに東京大の入試合格を目指している。
　人工知能は、大手予備校「代々木ゼミナール」が作成した英語、数学、国語などセンター模試と、東大文系、理系向けの数学模試に挑戦。英語や国語など文章を深く理解する問題は苦手だったが、知識を問う問題が多い日本史や世界史では全国平均点を上回った。
　東大数学模試では、得意の計算力を発揮し、偏差値６０前後の好成績を収めた。
　代ゼミの分析によると、センター模試の総合７科目の偏差値は４５。私大５７９校のうち４０３校で「合格可能性が８０％以上」のＡ判定を獲得。国公立大は１校でＡ判定だった。代々木ゼミナールの担当者は「中堅私大よりやや下のレベルであれば十分合格可能」と評価した。
このプロジェクトのリーダーで国立情報学研究所の新井教授は、「人のことばの意味を理解できる次世代の人工知能が出来れば、人の働き方など社会は大きく変化する。長期的な目で開発を進め、世界をリードする人工知能に育て上げたい」と話しています。
また「ことばの意味を理解し、言いかえや要約にも対応できる人工知能が開発できれば、インターネットの検索エンジンなど、身の回りのコンピュータープログラムがすべて大きく進化する。人間の働き方など社会に大きな変革をもたらす技術で、東ロボくんの開発を進めることがこの分野で世界をリードすることにつながる」と話しています。
