　中京大の研究グループが２５日に発表した。竹を炭にすると表面に無数の穴が開いて表面積が大きくなる特徴があり、放射性物質の吸着に生かす方法を研究していた。
　セラミックスを研究する野浪教授によると、竹炭を使って濾過した、実験用のセシウム溶液の濃度を測ると、ゼオライトを使用した時の７４％の吸着能力があったという。
　吸着効率をもっと上げる工夫をして実用化につなげるべ区、更なる研究を進めてほしいですね。
