The vegetables cultivation method using light emitting diode (LED)(発光ダイオード(LED)を利用した野菜栽培法)

Showa Denko announced that I developed the vegetables cultivation method using light emitting diode (LED) in cooperation with Yamaguchi University for nine days. To the growth process of a lettuce and vegetables such as the potherb mustard, it is said that harvests increased to up to 3 times by changing a combination of light.
As a result of cultivation experiment, the harvests of the green vegetables in the same upbringing period increase to up to 3 times in comparison with a normal fluorescent lamp and the LED light which fixed the red blue ratio. Restraint of the consumption electricity, the effect of both sides of the increase of the harvest are provided, and shortening of the investment payback that became the problem becomes in this way feasible so far in an LED plant factory.
In addition, this cultivation method is proved to be effective for alga culture and seems to be able to expect the application to the useful material production and biofuel production using the alga. There is already an inquiry from plural vegetable plants, and it is expected that it is in use by the end of this month. The vegetables which bathed in light of the sun of the outdoor culture full even if it is that cultivation in the man-made environment becomes necessary may be what become precious.



昭和電工は 9日、山口大学と共同で、発光ダイオード(LED)を利用した野菜栽培法を開発したと発表した。レタスや水菜といった野菜の成長過程に合わせ、光の組み合わせを変えることで、収穫量が最大で3倍に増えたという。
栽培実験の結果、同じ育成期間で の葉菜類の収穫量が、通常の蛍光灯および赤青比を固定したLED照明と比較して、最大で3倍に増加。これにより、消費電力の抑制、収 穫量の増加という両面の効果が得られ、LED植物工場において今まで課題となっていた投資回収期間の短縮が実現可能となります。
 また、この栽培方法は藻類培養にも有効であることが判明しており、藻類を用いた有用物質製造やバイオ燃料生産への応用も期待できるようです。 既に複数の野菜工場から問い合わせがあり、今月中に実用化される見通し。人工的な環境での栽培が必要になっていくことでしょうが露地栽培の太陽光をいっぱいに浴びた野菜は貴重になるのかもしれませんね。
