大学も対応に力を入れる。龍谷大学は4月に卒業生向けの就職支援セミナーを大阪梅田キャンパスで開いた。既卒者67人が参加、モチベーションアップ講座のほか、既卒を採用する企業8社との面接会も設けた。法政大学は10年度から未就職卒業生に既卒OKの求人情報をメールで配信。例年100名ほどが登録。10数人が卒業後に就職を決める。今年も未就職者と思われる卒業生に、登録を呼びかけ中だ。
新卒無業の主な原因は景気低迷による新卒採用の抑制だ。ただ独立行政法人労働政策研究・研修機構の統括研究員、小杉さんは「ネットを活用した就職活動の広がりなど構造的な課題も見過ごせない」と指摘する。
ネットで企業と学生が直接つながり、大学が職業あっせん機能を果たせない。学生は仕事の内容や職場の実情を知らないままに規模や知名度を手掛かりに求職する。その結果、ミスマッチが相次ぎ、内定獲得が遠のく。「大学は卒業生の状況など情報が豊富。大学を使い尽くす気持ちが学生には大切だ」
新卒で就職しないとリカバリーが難しいという現状を変えていかないといけないのかもしれませんね。同時に、就職しても辞めて行ってしまう学生が多いとも聞きます。かなりのミスマッチが存在していることも確かです。大学全入時代で、入学してくる学生も親離れもできない子どもたちですから就職関しても大学が必ず仲介に入って就職を斡旋して決めていく体制が必要なのかもしれませんね。ネットで就活がほとんどでしょうから自分がわかっていない状況での就職ですから高望みばかりして失敗の連続で失望してしまう。まさに悪循環ですね。中小にも有望な企業はたくさんあります。大企業も最初は中小だったはずです。国内がダメなら海外という視野も必要なのかもしれませんね。
その意味からも学問を極める大学から就職を引き伸ばして最終段階になってしまっている大学ですから就職をターゲットにい据えた就職斡旋機関に特化してもいいのかもしれませんね。そして大学院大学を本来の大学と位置づけて充実させていくのも手でしょうかね。
