　新制度は入試科目に偏らない幅広い基礎学力や学問への高い志を備えた学生の発掘が狙いで、「高大接続型京大方式特色入試」と銘打った。詳細は今後、学部ごとに詰める。新制度の対象は全体で定員の１割程度になりそうだという。
　グローバル人材の育成に関して松本総長は「高校でどんな勉強をすれば大学に入れるのか、という点を改めないと、学生の質的な転換は起きない」と強調。「秋入学は教育改革の選択肢の１つとしてあり得るが、しばらく先になる。本学は入試改革に優先度を置きたい」と語った。
　京都大学から従来の入試制度を大きく変える試みを率先して進めて欲しいですね。何よりも大学の教育研究の質の向上をはたして欲しいですね。
