Three days, I found in a survey conducted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science in fiscal 2012, we believe that approximately 60% of high school students across the country with the "I do not want to study abroad." There were many students to worry about the cost of study abroad and language skills. Local governments to support the study of high school students on the one hand doubled. We vehemently support the cost of study abroad and establish a system, or sent to high school study abroad experience, trying to break the inward-looking attitude of the students.
Questionnaire responses were received from approximately 500 000 people out of high school was randomly selected.
When asked "Do you want to study abroad someday", replied "I do not think" is 58%, I was more than "I want to study abroad" (42%). Most "wall of words" reason (multiple answers) (56%), "tough" economic (38%), "foreign relations or friends living in fear," etc. (34%) was noticeable.
"I want to touch on cultural and sporting" foreign "want to make friends with foreigners," "I want to improve the language skills" (61%), while most (55%), that I'd like to do to study abroad (51%) There were many.
Municipality is making efforts to support students. There was a support system in FY 12 prefectures in 39, I was about 2-fold increase compared to fiscal 2011. In addition to support the cost of studying abroad, you can open a forum to provide information on study abroad, inviting foreign high school students are provided the opportunity to feel closer to the world.
Further, when the ministry was studying in year 11 to study about the situation of the country, such as high school students who studied more than 3257 people in the months March, it was the same level as in fiscal 2008. Study period is 6 months to 1 year was 2973 most people. English-speaking countries such as New Zealand and the United States accounted for 80% of destinations are Germany, France, China continued.
It is difficult to feel conscious of itself as long as the adult and Japan is not going toward the outside.
