　理研によると、今年１月に英科学誌ネイチャーで論文が掲載後、小保方リーダーと、小保方リーダーが所属するグループの研究員がＳＴＡＰ細胞とみられる細胞を作った。あらゆる細胞に変化する多能性を示す遺伝子が働いていることを確認した、としている。
