　試作品は三日月のような形。黒色で重さ17グラム。内蔵の赤外線センサーで、奥歯をかみしめる時の耳の奥の筋肉の動きを捉える。例えば組み込んだスピーカーから渋滞情報を知らせる音声が流れると、使用者は奥歯をかんで特定の道路を選び、詳しい説明を受けられる。
　全地球測位システム（ＧＰＳ）やコンパス、マイクも搭載。観光用途では、顔の向きを変えるだけで目の前にある史跡の説明を音声で受けられたり、声でコンピューターに指示したりできる。
　無線でスマートフォンと連携して情報を検索することも可能。今後は企業とアプリケーションソフトを開発したり、宝石で装飾してデザイン性を高めたりして来年に商品化する予定という。夢が現実になる時代が到来しているんですね。
