和歌山「正論」懇話会の第７５回講演会が４日、和歌山市のホテルアバローム紀の国で開かれ、高崎経済大学教授の八木氏が「グローバル化する世界と日本人のアイデンティティー」と題して講演した。
　八木氏は、国際化が進む現代社会について「日本でも６年後の東京五輪に向け、国際化は一気に進む。日常的に外国に行き、外国から多くの人が訪れるようになるだろう」と指摘。安倍晋三政権が掲げる国際化に対応した人材育成の推進が必要だと説明した。
　その上で、「グローバルな人材を育てる大前提として、日本人としてのアイデンティティーが求められている」と強調。「安倍政権は、教育を国家戦略としてはっきりと位置付け、国民の精神を立て直そうとしている。偉人の生き方などを通じて、道徳的な価値を教えていくことが大切だ」と話した。アイデンティティーの中心となるのが言語・歴史・文化・伝統などでしょうかね。国際化時代であるからこそ日本人としてのアイデンティティーの確立が願われるのでしょうね。
