早稲田大学は２８日、ＳＴＡＰ細胞の研究の中心となった理化学研究所の小保方晴子研究ユニットリーダーの博士論文に複数の疑問点が指摘されている問題を受け、論文に不正があったかどうかを調べる調査委員会を３１日付で設置すると発表した。
　博士論文の内容のほか、指導や審査の過程を検証する。小保方氏は、学内の教員に論文を取り下げる意向を示している。
　早大によると、調査委は学外３人、学内２人の計５人で構成。委員長は組織の法令順守に詳しい小林弁護士が務める。委員には生命科学の専門家も入れる。
　早大は２月中旬から調査していたが、内部調査に限界があるとして調査委設置を決めた。３カ月以内の報告を目指す。
　小保方氏の博士論文は、約２０ページにわたり米国立衛生研究所のサイトとほぼ同じ記述があるなどの指摘がある。本当にずさんな管理体制で論文の審査が行われていたんでしょうね。小保方さんに対しても失礼な感じがしますね。
