Assembly "ShindaiSat (bed Sat)" of (nickname, Silver Mountain) Shinshu made by ultra-small satellites scheduled to be launched in 2013 fiscal year has been completed, 26, prefectures supplies and parts in Shinshu Univ Faculty of Engineering campus in Nagano Wakasato it was unveiled to the company officials inside and outside. It is expected that through the performance test, and deliver Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency to (JAXA) at the end of November.
Cube of about 40 cm on a side satellite (about 35 km). 32 a light emitting diode (LED) is used to communicate with the ground, it has been installed solar cell power generation side (4 surface) at the top of the outer surface. I incorporating such as power and device for attitude control in space inside.
Received the parts supply companies from outside the prefecture, graduate students and others Nakajima, Professor of university had assembled from the end of August. Make sure you use performance test in a vacuum state after completion, to operate normally. To continue the test or is it successful if vibration or shock in the future.
Satellite was launched in the H2A rocket, I orbiting 400 kilometers above ground. Is performed each other to receive an LED emit light each other on the ground between the satellite the "visible light communication experiment", and make sure the utility of visible light communication ultra-long distance, to explore the possibility of new means of communication. Is that you can experiment before and after 1 year.
Nakajima Professor is expected to launch in February next year around, it is said, "you can confirm the performance of the satellite, and you want to or establish a communication device of the ground in the future" he said.
I hope that you have the performance confirmation of the last, to be launched as scheduled. I want you to show the results to show the height of the technology of Shinshu.
