来年末に打ち上げる予定の小惑星探査機「はやぶさ２」が搭載されたロケットに相乗りする候補の小型人工衛星３基が決まった。 　宇宙航空研究開発機構（ＪＡＸＡ(ジャクサ)）が１９日、発表した。 Ｈ２Ａロケットへの搭載候補に選ばれたのは、東京大、多摩美術大、九州工業大がそれぞれ開発した衛星。このうち、多摩美大は、衛星で宇宙の温度や光の量などを観測し、そのデータを地上に送って芸術作品を創作する計画だという。
　ＪＡＸＡによると、同大と東大の衛星は搭載が確実だが、九州工大の衛星は、はやぶさ２の準備状況を見極めた上で搭載するかどうか最終判断するとしている。
　九州工大の衛星も搭載できるようになるといいですね。多摩美大の衛星が送り出すデータから創作される作品を見てみたいですね。多くの大学が、様々な発想を持って参加することを通じて、多くの宇宙を対象にした研究者が誕生することを期待したいですね。
