　試験海域は渥美半島から南に７０～８０キロ沖合の「東部南海トラフ」周辺にある。昨年、ガスを生産するための井戸を海底下に掘っていた。今回は、ガス産出のパイプを船から井戸に下ろす作業などを進め、早ければ２月下旬ごろから実際にガスを取り出す。どの程度の埋蔵量があるのか分かりませんが効率よくガスを取り出せるようになることを期待したいですね。
