Development of "antibody drugs."

In order to promote the development of "drug" antibody drug that can pick off the next generation of cancer cells, such as, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry embarked on a new plant based pharmaceutical companies and equipment manufacturers, universities mobilize.

I aim to incorporate about 2.5 billion yen in the government's new fiscal year budget, to establish the technology of new drug development within the next five years.

This is expected for a high effective than conventional medicine spread throughout the body, with fewer side effects. Is expected to be useful in the treatment of diseases such as cancer and Alzheimer's.

A new type of antibody drugs or a combination of antibody and radioactive materials hit the cancer, or stick to the antibody anti-cancer drugs, some have been commercialized by the pharmaceutical companies, such as rice already.

がん細胞などを狙い撃ちできる次世代の薬「抗体医薬品」の開発を進めるため、経済産業省は製薬会社や機器メーカー、大学が結集する拠点工場の新設に乗り出す。

　産学官連携で日本の開発力を高め、外資製品が大半を占める抗体医薬品分野への参入を促す狙いがある。政府の新年度予算案に約２５億円を盛り込み、５年以内に新薬開発の技術を確立することを目指す。

抗体医薬品は、攻撃相手の目印を見分けて、がん細胞などの標的だけに直接、作用する。このため、体全体に広がる従来の薬より効果が高く、副作用も少ないと見込まれる。がんやアルツハイマー病などの治療に役立つと期待される。
　がんをたたく放射性物質と抗体を組み合わせたり、抗がん剤を抗体にくっつけたりする新タイプの抗体医薬品は、一部がすでに米製薬企業などによって製品化されている。
