I think the whole situation is tough and Japan.

"Times Higher Education magazine" Higher Education in the UK has announced this year's "World University Rankings". Increase the ranking from # 30 to # 27 in the previous year, Tokyo University defended the top spot in Asia. Japan urged the same as last year, five schools in the top 200.

Number of citations of papers, evaluation by researchers and companies, were scored and learning environment. Following the last year, the world # 1 California Institute of Technology. Oxford English second place, third place was Stanford. United Kingdom (3 schools) to monopolize the U.S. (seven schools), the Top 10 was Harvard slump from second to fourth place last year.

Kyoto # 54 (# 52 in the previous year), # 128 Tokyokogyodai (# 108), Tohoku # 137 (# 120), # 147 in Osaka Japan urged other than the University of Tokyo (# 119). Both ranking dropped from the previous year.

For the advancement of China and South Korea, but kept the top spot in Asia University of Tokyo raised the ranking, I think the whole situation is tough and Japan.



英国の高等教育専門誌「タイムズ・ハイヤー・エデュケーション」が今年の「世界大学ランキング」を発表した。東京大は前年の３０位から２７位に順位を上げ、アジア首位の座を守った。日本勢はトップ２００に昨年と同じ５校が入った。
　論文の引用数、研究者や企業による評価、学習環境などを点数化した。世界１位は昨年に続き、米カリフォルニア工科大。２位は英オックスフォード大、３位は米スタンフォード大だった。トップ１０は米国（７校）と英国（３校）が独占し、米ハーバード大は昨年の２位から４位に転落した。
　東大以外の日本勢は京都大５４位（前年５２位）、東京工業大１２８位（１０８位）、東北大１３７位（１２０位）、大阪大１４７位（１１９位）。いずれも前年より順位を落とした。
　中国や韓国などの躍進に対して、東大が順位をあげてアジア首位の座を守りましたが、日本全体を考えると厳しい状況ですね。
