２３歳以下の若者がものづくりやサービスの技術を競った第５０回技能五輪全国大会は２９日、松本市のキッセイ文化ホール（県松本文化会館）で表彰式と閉会式を行い、閉幕した。過去最多の１２１人が参加した県選手団からは５３人が入賞。最高賞の金賞には、左官で連覇を果たした中沢さん＝中沢左官・佐久市＝をはじめ８人が輝いた。
　長野県選手の入賞は他に、銀賞１６人、銅賞１１人、敢闘賞１８人。長野県選手団は、最優秀の愛知県に次ぐ優秀技能選手団賞を受賞した。
　佐久地域から参加した6職種9名の5名が金賞・銀賞・銅賞に輝きましたね。来年7月にドイツで開催される国際大会へ参加する選手も現れそうですね。
　半面、日本のものづくりの土台である機械系は愛知勢が強さを見せつけた感じでしたね。フライス盤職種に参加した南佐久の企業も、二度目のチャレンジでしたが入賞はできませんでしたね。御代田のシチズンもセイコーエプソンの牙城を壊すまでにはいきませんでしたね。
　そして、一番心配なのは技能五輪が打ち上げ花火に終わってはならないということですね。盛り上がった企業での若手技術者の育成が、より強固な形で存続して技術立県となっていって欲しいですね。そのための行政も支援策を明確にしてほしい気もしますね。
