東北大加齢医学研究所の竹内准教授（脳科学）らの研究グループは４日、親子で会話をする時間が長いほど、子供が言語を理解する能力が発達するとの研究結果を発表した。
　子供たちを３年間、追跡調査して分かったという。竹内准教授は「一分一秒でも長く親子で会話してほしい」と話している。
　研究グループは２００８～１０年、仙台市教委などの協力を得て、市内の５歳～１８歳の子供２６２人の脳を磁気共鳴画像装置（ＭＲＩ）で撮影。語彙ごい力や表現力を試すテストを実施するとともに、親子が会話する１日の平均時間も調べた。その３年後にも、転居するなどした子供を除く２０８人に対し、ＭＲＩによる撮影とテストを行った。
　その結果、親と会話をする時間が長かった子供ほど、神経細胞が集まる脳の一部に、言語の理解能力が発達していることを示す変化が生じていたほか、テストの成績も良かったという。愛を動機とした言葉をたくさん子供に語りかけることが必要ですね。ぜひ、実践してみたらいかがでしょう！！
