　光学５号機は、５年の設計寿命を超えた光学３号機の後継機。６０センチの物体を識別するとされる３号機より、撮影能力は向上しているという。
　Ｈ２Ａの打ち上げは、年度内で過去最多となる５機目で、この半年間に４機が集中した。打ち上げ成功は２２回連続。成功率は９６・４％となり、国際的な信頼の目安とされる９５・０％を上回っている。半年で４機とは、かなり集中していますね。衛星打ち上げ事業として十分に世界と戦っていける数字だと思いますね。
