　ＪＡＸＡによると、はやぶさ２は２１日午前５時半にイオンエンジンの噴射を終了した。今回の運転時間は４０９時間に及び、打ち上げ後の最長となった。地球スイングバイまでにイオンエンジンを計６００時間、２回に分けて連続運転する計画を立てており、次の噴射開始は６月上旬を予定している。
　はやぶさ２は現在、地球から見ると、おおいぬ座とふたご座の間の方向を航行中。このため、はやぶさ２と日本国内のアンテナを使って通信できる時間帯は午後２〜９時ごろとなっている。イオンエンジンの停止は２１日午後、はやぶさ２からのデータを取得、解析して確認した。イオンエンジンは快調のようですね。秒速27ｋｍとは凄い早さですね。大した推力もないのはずなのに何の抵抗もない真空ならではの結果ですね。
