日立製作所と住友商事グループは１４日、尿を調べることで乳がんと大腸がんを見つけられる世界初の技術を開発したと発表した。

　発表によると、尿の中にある糖や脂質など１３００以上の物質から、がんと判定するために必要な特定物質を約１０種類まで絞り込むことに成功した。その含有量の違いで健常者とがん患者を見分けられるという。

　エックス線検査や血液検査などに比べて手軽なため、検診を受ける人の負担が軽くなる。ただ、特定物質の構造の解析など課題が残されており、早期の実用化に向けて研究を加速する。様々なガンが尿によって見つけられるようになるといいですね。
